Chicken Invaders DX
A downloadable game
This game is a remake of the original version from 1999 as part of a university project. It has most if not all the elements present in the original game, but with renewed graphics made almost entirely by us.
The game has 10 levels that repeat endlessly becoming harder and harder as you advance. How long can you survive?
The game also has a leaderboard that is stored locally and a pause menu.
For the controls check the "README.txt" file.
We used SFML to make this game which showed us how games work underneath without a dedicated game engine.
It was an incredible experience and I hope you will have as much fun and we had while making it.

University project? did you study game design at Uni?
Nope, computer science, but had a module in which they taught us modern C++ (C++ 11 and above), and the teacher was amazing, so she made us create a game with the concepts we were learning.
